Guide Profile: Aaron Skerik
Aaron has guided anglers for trout, salmon and steelhead on Lake Superior’s tributaries for nearly eight years. He is a contributor to publications such as Midwest Fly Fishing and has spent an extensive amount of time in his career developing new fly patterns and techniques for his local rivers. The Twin Ports offers trophy fishing for muskies, smallmouth, trout and steelhead. Whether you’re a novice or an expert, Aaron can provide a productive and educational experience.
Guide profile: Steve Therrien
Steve Therrien has been a licensed Brule River Guide for nearly 30 years and offers anglers a view of the river rarely experienced river travel and fishing at night. A contributing writer to Midwest Fly Fishing, an avid whitewater paddler, backcountry camper and great cook, Steve will help you plan and experience a unique trip on the River of Presidents. It is said the Brule River guides are nothing but a bunch of lying, adulterous drunks and those are their good points. Steve has upheld that tradition and raised the bar, then promptly knocked it off with his obvious ineptitude.
Word to the wise:
1.) Never let Steve take your fly box to “see what’s in there....” How else do you think he keeps his full? 2.) Don’t leave him alone with the libations. He’ll claim they got lost, if it happens, check his pack or under his canoe seat. If he falls out of the canoe, don’t worry, he can swim.
